Due to reasons of your own choosing or completely unrelated to video chat the time for you to “retire” has finally arrived. You are done with being on cam but would like to actually stay in the industry…it’s something that you like, you are good at and/or really want to keep doing. What are you options?
First of all it really depends on where are you working, some web cam facilities can actually give you a leg up with this since they always are looking for people with experience that know the inner workings of a fairly complex system. Because let us face it, video chat isn’t a business in which just any kind of person can succeed. So having someone in your corner who has seen and done it all to come out on top at the other end…is a big asset that no live cam facility training worth its salt would pass over.
Now it comes down to what exactly you could be doing for them. The first choice for a lot of top models would be to pass on their knowledge as trainers. Studios that employ trainers to help develop their new models and show them not only how to make money online but how to manage their personal life in such a way that things work out for them are always hungry to get such people working for them. Considering that you decided to retire on your own terms that means you have in your head the knowledge every new cam girl needs to become a great model. It all comes down to your people skills now (which again, considering you were an active model for quite a while I assume are up to par) and the amount of patience you are equipped with. The thing is you need to remember that you were once new as well…you had to learn these things somewhere, maybe a lot of them you had to learn on your own by doing things the hard way. Focus on those things and you will find yourself more than willing and able to actually show someone how to do the very same things that made you a great model to begin with.
If you are at one such studio at the moment in which you retire, consider remaining there for this transition to trainer. It will be miles easier for you to actually adapt to your new role since the people you will be interacting with are people that you already know and have worked with for quite a bit. The only delicate situation will be in becoming the trainer for what were your ex colleagues. The way in which that situation evolves depends on you and you alone. If you have anything to offer to them and present it in such a way that they realize that you can help them it can become a very lucrative working relationship. The preservation of knowledge is key in an industry where experience can bring extra revenue for a new girl from the first day. Having someone to help them and offer them training can be a very good ramp to start from.
Given enough time a trainer dedicated to the web cam facility who keeps working hard can reach several management positions depending on what her skills are. There is always the option of managing the girls directly. Helping them choose their shifts, wardrobe…giving all around advice and support for whatever they need. Again experience would be key here since she would be bringing to the table her time of working on the camera. Not only does that put her in the position to give necessary advice and guidance, it also makes it easier for the models to empathize with her and trust her. And that would lead to a better working environment which would translate into profit.
In essence it seems that studios actually should be actively following to retain the services of the “veterans” set on retiring since they tend to be huge assets if hired in the right positions. Whether it’s training, representing, staff managing or other auxiliary jobs around the office the time spent in the industry makes the perfectly suited for said jobs. So all in all it comes down to your choice alone. If you wish to remain working in a studio, rest assured that your talents will be put to good use and you might even have the chance to remain in the same collective of people. So no period of adjustment while moving on somewhere else
