How many of you haven't gotten angry because the chat was going slow? Or maybe the members were just being plain rude? I'm sure you did, maybe even get frustrate at them and cuss them out a little? I'm sure that blowing off steam like that felt good. And while it's understandable since everyone gets angry once in a while…it's really bad for the flow of your traffic.
There are a few things you should keep telling yourself if stuff like that happens. It can help you get passed the situation and remain in a good mood. First of all, remember that you are there as a performer. You are playing a role for them. There is no need for you to take things personally, think of theater actors on stage. They focus on their performance, the audience gets to appreciate it or not later on. That being said, it doesn't mean you're not supposed to keep your free chat as clean as possible. Try and calm down whomever is angry, see what the problem is and what you could be doing to make things better. If there is no way in which that is happening and he starts bothering the other members, avail yourself of the kick or ban function provided by most video chat platforms.
By taking steps in that direction you might even attract new members. You'd be leaving the impression you care about their enjoyment, even if they are just hanging around in your free chat. It's a good way to make new members. Rather than seeing you focus only on certain members this will show them you care about them no matter who they are, maybe even feel tempted to tip. And that's always a good idea.
Think about it for a bit from their eyes. Would you be tempted to join a private chat with someone that looks all angry and about to take a crack at someone? I mean, sure there are some people out there looking for that but you should be waiting for them to tell you that… Same goes really for when you get bored, look away from your camera and waste time on your phone. Things like that are detrimental just because at that moment there could be a member watching you wondering if he should be joining your private…and then you look away at your phone and look totally disinterested in whomever is talking to you at that moment. So he leaves the room, going on to look for something else completely.
All this is fairly easy to avoid. Try and keep yourself engaged, small talk even with guests if you feel things are too slow, maybe look through your pictures a little, or your profile. See where there is room for improvement and what you could change. When you do talk to members, make sure to get them interested, ask them what they like, tell them about what you could show them. Always appear as if you are doing something, leave the impression you are a busy and sought for woman. That's also a point of interest for members: "Look at her, she's typing all the time…she must be a really good model to have so many people interested in her. Let's see what that's all about".
The conclusion to this would be to remember that, after all, you are there to entertain. Attract the members and show them a good time. While sometimes it is indeed frustrating because not everyone is there to be polite and make a connection, you could still profit from it. If you keep your mind on that and how you could win even out of situations in which you feel less than happy it will help you .
I'm not saying there won't be moments in which you will actually lose your temper a little. Or maybe get bored out of your mind. In that case, take a little breather. Step out for a couple of minutes (smoke a cigarette if that's what helps) and regroup. Keep in mind that this should be done as little as possible as well. Interrupted time online is very good for your traffic. The more you disconnect and stay offline between active periods, the harder it will be for you to rise up in the page and get proper visibility.
All in all, I'm just trying to say to remember that in video chat the way you present yourself (not just your appearance, but your mood too) is one of the most important things. The happier and more relaxed you are, the more people you will attract. The more people you attract…well this part you know well. 🙂
